Start Web Browser - Start a web browser such as Microsoft Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.

Start animoto - Enter the URL: http://www.animoto.com

Login - Click on Sign In and enter your e-mail address and password.

My Videos - Once you login, you'll find yourself at "My Videos" where you can create a new video or see your existing videos.

Create a New Video - Select "Create Video" and "Choose Your Video Type".

Full Length Video - I'm going to choose "Full Length Video" and click on "Create Video"

Get Images - I'm going to select "Upload from your computer".

Select Images from your computer - A pop up box appears that enables you to select photos from your computer for the project. You can select more than one photo to upload at a time.

Move Images Around - Drag and drop photos in the order you'd like them to appear.

Add Text Slides - Click on the "T icon", add the text, and click "done". The text slide will be added immediately after the slide you have selected. You can move the images and text boxes around until you're satisfied with the order, then you can click "done".

Select Music - You can upload your own music or choose something from the animoto collection. I'm going to click on "select from our collection" and then "Singer/Songwriter". You can listen to the songs before selecting a song for your video. I'm going to choose "Walk On". Then clcik on "Save and Continue".

Finalize Your Video - You can finalize your video by determining the image pacing (half speed, normal, or 2x speed). Then choose a video cover screen. If you click on the image to the far right, it will show you the next image in the series. If you click on the image to the far left, you will see the previous image. Once you're satisfied, then click on "continue".

Enter Video Information - a title, description, and producer's name. Click on "create video" when ready. Note: it takes a while for the video to be generated. It happens in the background, so you can do something else (like make a new video) while you wait. You'll receive an email when the video is finished.

Post Video Processing - Once your video is finished, you have a number of options: remix the images (let the system place the photos in a different order), edit or delete the video, share the video with your contacts, embed the video in your blog or website, or export it to YouTube or SmugMug.
